Results of this study emphasize the<br class="">importance of IPS measurements with a highly sensitive Arecibo-like<br class="">radio telescope in understanding properties of the solar wind in its<br class="">acceleration region and evolution of earth-directed space weather<br class="">events (e.g., coronal mass ejections) in the Sun-Earth distance.
